Starting at the Livestock Exchange Building, the trail boss and his cowhands on horseback lead a couple dozen Texas longhorns almost single file down Exchange Avenue and back to their holding pens behind the Exchange Building.

That fact becomes obvious when 9-foot Boudreaux opens his massive jaws to take a fish or piece of chicken from his keeper. The male albino American alligator joins two traditionally pigmented female alligators and other swamp residents in the new Ghosts from the Bayou habitat at the Dallas Zoo.

Discover the marvels of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempts and the science (and secrets) behind their triumphs when The Science of Guinness World Records™ exhibition, presented by Highland Capital Philanthropies, makes its U.S. debut at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science on March 6, running through Sept. 6, 2021. Guests will learn what it takes to crash through these seemingly impossible ceilings, the physical and mental thresholds humans possess, and the scientific principles that explain their awe-inspiring feats. Dozens of engaging exhibits – from the largest Pac-Man videogame, to reaction competitions, speed drumming and a dance-a-thon – will challenge and encourage all ages to go behind the scenes and discover the discipline driving these fascinating accomplishments.

Description: The AAM, Dallas has one of the largest collections of African American folk art in the country. The Billy R. Allen Folk Art Collection, named for a founding board member, has grown to include more than 500 objects. Dr. Warren and Sylvia Lowe of Lafayette, Louisiana, Sally Griffiths and Dr. Bobby Alexander of Dallas, Texas have been major contributors. Pieces from the collection are rotated, twice each year, in the Sam and Ruth Bussey Gallery. Artists include Clementine Hunter, Mose Tolliver, Reverend Johnnie Swearingen, David Butler, Sister Gertrude Morgan, and Isaac Smith to name a few.

Description: This one-of-a-kind experience features running G-scale trains on a 2,500 sq. ft. layout, a custom light show which takes the exhibit from daylight to nighttime, and hundreds of miniature automobiles and people. The exhibit spans Arizona to Texas, from the dramatic rock formations of the Four Corners region near New Mexico, to a thriving Northeast Texas in the early 1960s. Also featured is an animated downtown Dallas street scene, the Palo Duro Drive-In Theater with a movie playing, West Texas refineries and working saw mills in Colorado!
