Description: Gives visitors an interactive look at the physics behind the fun at amusement parks. Featuring 12 hands-on exhibit components, Amusement Park Science was researched, developed and produced by Discovery Center Museum via the five-museum national consortium TEAMS (Traveling Exhibitions At Museums of Science) – with additional funding from the National Science Foundation. Description: Planet Shark: Predator or Prey will bring the ultimate out-of-water shark experience. From evolution and biology to popular culture and the fin trade, this 12,000-square-foot traveling exhibition will guide visitors through the murky myths and fascinating facts that have surrounded sharks for centuries. Planet Shark will feature full-scale specimen models including an 18-foot Great White, rare fossils dating 380 million years, interactive displays, thousands of teeth, mega-sized jaws and more. Fascinating interview footage from shark attack survivors, images and other archives will be on view, along with movie memorabilia including original posters, props and more from the 1975 classic Jaws.
