Being busy families as most of us in Frisco are, it’s hard to find time to connect as a family.With three active kids that like to do different things in their free time, it made it harder for us. But….we found a solution that the whole family can live with.
We just joined Frisco Athletic Center. It has something for all of us to do separately and together - all year long! As a family, we can use the outdoor aquatic center which includes large slides, lazy river, and playground area for the smaller kids.With all the lifeguards on duty, as a parent, you can sit and relax or join the kids in the water. Year round, the indoor aquatic center is open with some of the same actives!
There are basketball, volleyball, and raquet ball courts for all of us to use.For children 12 and older, they can have free reign of the place (they can go with a friend by themselves to play basketball, etc.).
There is a whole upstairs area for exercise. Everything you can imagine is there (treadmills, elliptical, stair
steppers, weight machines, and free weights). Kids 13 and older can join their parents to workout up there. They also offer several group exercise classes that are included in the price of membership.
The childcare is great there too! They have 2 separate rooms:1 for kids up to age 7 and 1 for kids 8 and older.The older kids’ room is called The Zone and has ping pong, Wii, foossball, air hockey, and board games. The younger kids’ room offers regular craft and
theme days.The babies are separated from toddlers for safety.
Frisco Athletic Center offers year-round youth and adult classes also.You don’t have to be a member to register for those. To see a list of those class and membership info, you can call them at 972-292-6600 or go to their website by clicking the link. They also offer Birthday Parties!
